IRIN on PSEA and standards

On IRIN, an interesting article on the role of standars and certification schemes in the aftermath of Oxfam scandal and the #MeToo movement. I wrote about it in a couple of entries a few weeks ago:

On sexual abuse in humanitarian contexts. What can the sector learn from forest management?

Going back to humanitarian standards. CHS, HQAI, Sphere.

An analysis of NGOs performance against CHS

It seems that the approach is gaining steam, and as I already noted I think is a positive development. It remains to be seen if it will not all fizzle away, and if present schemes are adequate for PSEA issues or if there is room for improvement – but I think the direction is promising.
