I once said to a colleague, half seriously and half not, that ideally for every year of work, we should be allowed some six months of time to reflect on what we have been doing, and research on what can be done to improve. I think that many agree that this would be a great thing, and that at the same time having time to reflect is nowadays a luxury that few are lucky enough to afford.
For my side, at the end of my last assignment I found myself in such a lucky position to reflect on policy and management of humanitarian interventions (and not only). I am hence in the process of “digesting” what I had done, saw, read and learnt in the last years. I will publish here some of the results of this process.
